Brenda Torres

Brenda was born in Mexico and immigrated to North Carolina at the age of 4. She has lived in the Pacific Northwest for about 9 years and has grown to enjoy the diversity this state has to offer.

Brenda previously worked at a criminal defense law firm in Seattle for several years working closely with attorneys to help ensure individuals' rights were not violated. Brenda is fully committed to providing the advocacy resources she feels her own community lacked when she was growing up including language barriers. Her work at Higuera & VanDerhoef is very important and personal to her as she is a recipient of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). 

In her spare time she likes to find new places to eat and experience different cultures through food.
